Splitting a AVI file
into two parts

If audio is CBR use
VirtualDub if VBR open in NanDub
·
From the “file” drop
down menu select “Open Video File”
·
Locate and open your AVI
file
·
Set both Audio and Video to
“Direct Stream Copy”
·
Move the slider all the way
to the right.
·
Look at the number of
frames down in the bottom text box
·
Divide that number by two
in a calculator
·
Move the slider all the way
back to the left until frames show zero.
·
Press the “Home” Key on
your keyboard
·
Now press and hold the
“shift” key and move the slider to the closest number to the one you divided
·
Once you found the right
place release the “shift” key and press “end” on your keyboard.

Then from the “File”
drop down menu select “Save as AVI” and save it where you wish. NOTE THIS
ONLY SAVED THE FIRST PART

Ok now do not do anything
with the slider and just press “home” on your keyboard.
·
Then move your slider all
the way to the end of the movie and press “end” on your keyboard.

From the “file dropdown
menu select “Save as AVI” and save it where you wish
Audio synch problems relate normally to the fact that some people split files by using regular frames as their cut points, not key frames
